Nerdy Book Club has been hanging out on Zoom! This month’s virtual chat is dedicated to a very different kind of graphic novel. In this month’s installment our pick is is The Adventure Zone – Petals to the Metal. Written by Clint, Griffin, Justin, and Travis McElroy, and with art Carey Pietsch, Petals to the Metal literally and literarily illustrates the details of the McElroy families D & D campaigns.
Fans of the Maximum Fun family of podcasts will be familiar with this title as it recounts the Brothers’ arduous Dungeons and Dragons campaign, but illustrated in full, vivid colour. Unlike most podcasts of this nature, The Adventure Zone is actually great! The graphic novel serves as a great addition for fans and listeners to enjoy.
