On a recent episode of Drinks with Stan, Stan Lee had a very familiar guest on the show who, wouldn’t you know it, is a geek himself and grew up reading comic books!
Yup! That’s Joe Manganiello, well known for his character of Alcide Herveaux on HBO’s True Blood series. Fans of the Spider-man movies may also remember him as Flash Thompson in the first Spidey film starring alongside Tobey Maguire.
In the video below he talks about why that Spidey gig was so important as well as growing up reading comic books! Mangeniello did start collecting as a young man, but confesses to obtaining McFarlene’s run of Amazing Spider-man in a less than legal way!
