Synopsis: T’Challa summons The Illuminati together to plan for the death of everything.

Good: The highlight for this book would definitely have to be the art because it fits perfectly with the story being told. The story itself is incredible and does a really great job setting the mood for the events that are to come. The conversations between the characters flow really well and Hickman does an excellent job of writing each character. My favourite conversation in the book is between Black Panther and Namor, it does an excellent job of showing T’Challa’s hatred for Namor and how desperate he is to ask him for help. Another part I really enjoyed about the book is when The Illuminati gathered at the table to prove they weren’t intruders, by each showing their own gem from the Infinity Gauntlet. (It’s in the cover art so that shouldn’t really be considered a spoiler) –I really enjoyed that moment in the book. It’s really hard to explain what I love the most about this book without going into SPOILERs, but when you get to the final pages and discover what their plan of action is, you’ll most likely be hooked on this title.

Bad: The only real complaint I have about this book is that it has barely any fighting in it. Honestly that’s me just nitpicking, trying to find something I don’t like about the book. The story being told is good enough AND important enough to make up for the lack of action. If I had to come up with another complaint I guess it would be that the team itself isn’t really original, but I personally don’t care. The team works with this book and that’s all I care about.

Overall: If you want an Avengers book that brings together a good cast of characters with a great story and fantastic art, this is definitely a book you should check out.
