Star Wars: The Phantom Menace (3D) review

Remember the ill-fated 3D re-release of the Star Wars movies?

Stars Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace was re-released into theatres in 2012 — in 3D! The Comic Book Syndicate was there to review it:

All and all the consensus was that the 3D really didn’t change much of the experience. Though we are finding that the more and more we watch the films, Jar Jar Binks becomes less and less annoying —but only slightly. Hey, we don’t want to lose all of our street cred here now do we?

The acting award still goes to Jake Lloyd for his great performance as Anakin Skywalker! Before you say it, we don’t want to hear the cries of “he’s SOOO annoying” or the shrieks of “GAWD he’s whinier then Luke”. We’re not even going to tell compare his role to the other boring cardboard sham characters in the film *ahem*Padme*ahem* because this kid is ACTUALLY good. Lloyd has got charisma. Legit.

Now are we going to suggest that you go see it again? Mike-EL might, but he really enjoys Episode I compared to II & III. Jolie won’t though. Heck, go and see for yourself and let us know if you think 3D makes a difference OR if caught anything new watching it again! Let us know in the comments section below!
