Superman is re-imagined as an Emo teenager for the Twilight generation! (Great Scott…)

J. Michael Straczynski, hot off his run on Amazing Spider-man (in which he revealed that Peter Parker’s high school sweetheart Gwen Stacy cheated on him with the middle-aged Norman Osborn and consequently sired two fully grown adult children*), takes on the Man of Steel. The results are…less than super.

*Don’t worry if you haven’t read it. Marvel Comics still pretends it didn’t happen.

  • He is nowhere as insufferable as the horny, petulant and overly aggressive superman of the New 52 and the latest animation installment “Justice League: War”

    • Imo, Grant Morrison’s Superman in ACTION COMICS was the most accurate recreation (or only recreation) of Jerry Siegel’s original version of the character.

I can’t comment on any other writers (Scott Lobdell, Greg Pak) because I didn’t read them.
