J. Michael Straczynski, hot off his run on Amazing Spider-man (in which he revealed that Peter Parker’s high school sweetheart Gwen Stacy cheated on him with the middle-aged Norman Osborn and consequently sired two fully grown adult children*), takes on the Man of Steel. The results are…less than super.

He is nowhere as insufferable as the horny,petulant and overly aggressive superman of the New 52 and the latest animation installment “Justice League: War”
Imo, Grant Morrison’s Superman in ACTION COMICS was the most accurate recreation (or only recreation) of Jerry Siegel’s original version of the character.
I can’t comment on any other writers (Scott Lobdell, Greg Pak) because I didn’t read them.
