If you caught the first issue of SUPERCROOKS back in August you may have seen the preview pages for Mark Millar and Frank Quitely’s upcoming collaboration for Image Comics, Jupiter’s Children:

Frank Quitely

The 12-issue series is now slated for release beginning Spring 2013, and earlier today exclusive character sketches were released online:

While these characters currently remain nameless; “Millar woudn’t reveal the names of the characters or their powers“, our news source has provided the following:

    Lady in Red
    The Oldest Living Superhero
    Eagle-Crested Super-Heroine
    The Hero’s Brother
    The Cool Guy
    The Duo
    The man in the Parka

With literature and comic books pumping new life into the Hollywood film industry, it’s hard not to ask the inevitable question of whether Millar could picture this story on the big screen. Turns out Millar, who’s popular Kick-Ass series was adapted in 2010 and who’s sequel, Kick-Ass 2 is current filming, has some lofty goals for the “massively ambitious project” which he planned as “an enormous trilogy”. But ego aside, the team at the Comic Book Syndicate will remain supportive and as always our love for Frank Quitely knows no bounds! Movie or no movie, comics SHOULD be good, and you can bet that this book is going to be great!
