The doors opened at 11am on Sunday, December 2nd and the crowds didn’t let up until the very end. Check out the video below to see some of the highlights of The Merry Comic Book Christmas Convention that happened this past weekend!

It had been twenty plus long years since the last comic book convention in Windsor, and if the ASTOUNDING number of people who showed up (1400+) are any indication, it’s been twenty years TOO long! Windsor has super spirit and here is a list of the Guests of Honour:

Jay Fabok Vampirella Artist Real Life Super Hero Incredible Conduit Artist The Comic Book Syndicate Tony and Danny

(l-r: Jason Fabok, Johnny Desjardins, The Crimson Canuck, Tony Gray, Mike-EL of The Comic Book Syndicate, Tony Gray & Daniele Palanca for Legacy Comics)

So many new and familiar faces came out for the festivities whether they be vendors, gamers, or comic curious! So many costumed citizens and cosplayers showed up we had to feature them in a separate photo gallery!

You can see our COSTUME AND COSPLAY GaLLERY by clicking here.

Businesses and independent dealers alike shared the spacious (yet cozy) retailer area as well –our Syndicate Super Friend Kevin sold out of EVERYTHING at his table in the first 4 hours of the convention! I’m still pretty ecstatic about the HUGE success of the convention so check out all the photos I managed to take below. Apologies to The Hairy Tarantula who came all the way from Toronto, the crowds were so heavy by the concession making it impossible for me to get there to take your photo.

Also worth mentioning, Brimstone Games from … McGREGOR, ONTARIO!! Absolutely flabbergasted that the tiny town has such a colourful shop servicing their table top needs!

Even though the convention is over and everyone is ramping up for the holiday season the question on many minds is WILL THERE BE ANOTHER CONVENTION NEXT YEAR?

I think it’s safe to say the answer is YES!
