More holiday inspired superhero fun!

Neal Adams combines photo realistic art with a striking sense of design and a thirst for storytelling experimentation, and become the most important new artist to emerge in the late 1960’s.

Adams’ earliest work on The Brave and the Bold redefined Batman in the post-Adam West TV show era, and was the benchmark for all other Batman artists for nearly 20 years (until Frank Miller’s seminal work in The Dark Knight Returns).

Adams also redesigned Green Arrow’s  costume (unchanged since it’s introduction in 1941), a significant step for a genre adverse to change. His work with Denny O’Neil on Batman, and on Green Lantern/Green Arrow, marked a leap forward in realism for superhero comics.
